Guitar 2

by  Kaynine           submitted:  2008-11-06 10:34           size: 03547 kB
Short extract from a 'movie' uploaded to Youtube as a video response to something else. Nothing fancy and after collecting the image resources, the whole thing only took about 2 hours to make. The one technique that might be of interest to users is the use of the TOLERANCE tool. I'll post a few notes into the forum.

The avatar is a picture of my trusty Yamaha FG-160 and the music is my own arrangement of an old folk song (Molly Bond). The main reason for making this movie was to demonstrate the accuracy with which you can synchronise sound and movement in Artoonix. A longer version, featuring two tunes, will eventually be uploaded to Youtube. The software used to create the music arrangement and transcription was 'Tabledit' (Tablature Editor).

Invisible friends

Idea came from same source as 'Illusions' and was also an experiment to try to find a way to make tweening much smoother when using the single centre of rotation. No tweaks were needed this time, so it seemed to work better than before. This same movie, with longer notes, is uploaded to Youtube.

Illusions

A silent extract from a much longer movie which animates 12 well-known optical or mathematical illusions. The idea for this project came from a REALLY weird place. The full movie will be uploaded to Youtube - but at 150mb, it might just take an hour or so! (I rendered it as a large file to try to keep the image quality high because some of the shapes and transitions need to be seen clearly).

Sunday walk - reload

by  Kaynine           submitted:  2008-09-21 12:59           size: 03180 kB
Mmmm - for some reason, the avi upload wouldn't play. (You can delete it, Youri). This is an swf version. No walkthrough needed - just a simple animation made whilst I had a cup of coffee. I used an existing walk-cycle with new backgrounds, some tweened clipart and a new soundtrack.
