New registrations to the forum seem to be a problem at the moment, so I've copied a dialogue from Youtube in which another user has been describing a particular problem they've had. Anyone got any thoughts? I will copy any response from the forum and post it to the user's channel.

USER (Message posted as info for a Youtube upload)
I had to use hypercam...CUZ I COULDN'T GET ARTOONIX TO UPLOAD!!! Way worse than the last one

My response
I found a couple of mentions in your Channel to you not being able to upload movies made with Artoonix. What's the problem? Post a description of what goes wrong into the Artoonix forum and I'll try to offer help. (I assume you had rendered to an avi file ??) I see you use 'Paint' a lot. It's a simple program but I also use it for preparing quite a lot of my own Artoonix resources.

USER --- this is the main problem for which I have no answer
Last time I turned an artoonix animation into a AVI file, ALL of my artoonix animations vanished. I lost em. So now, I use Hypercam.

My response
Not a problem I've ever heard of before and certainly not anything I've ever experienced after converting over 150 projects to both avi and swf. There's a problem at the moment registering with the forum, so as I'm already registered and out of curiosity, I'll copy this little dialogue and post it and then let you know of any response from the admin team or other users.

I've posted a message to the user who had this strange problem which cause all his work to vanish after rendering to avi. He's really hoping that someone in the forum can offer some useful tips about what might possibly have gone wrong.

In the past I've had files corrupt (usually caused by the effect of having two copies of Artoonix open at the same time --- see separate thread), but I've never encountered the problem that he described.

Any thoughts Youri - Andrei - or any other users?

The case you describe is looking too incredible and I have no idea what's wrong.
Artoonix never deletes files during any kind of conversion but only creates them.
To avoid guessing I suppose the best way for this user is to address directly and allow to resolve the issues with our support team.
Actually I'm sure that there we will find only very specific problems.

Thanks Andrei, I'll copy your reply and post it into Youtube.
It's an effect I've never heard of before.

For your reference, the dialogue is here

There is clearly a problem registering with the forum at the moment, so if there's a further response from the user, I'll have to copy it and post it here. (I checked again this morning and there is still no display of the random characters that are needed for completion of registration)
